your first LUV, and the key that holds it — for everyone who has just walked in
the welcome paper · 1 LUV === 1 LUV
❤ WELCOME HOME ❤
You signed in. A wallet was born, your first LUV was reserved with your name on it, and you are now a holder in the world's first emotonomic economy. This page is the one thing to read before you do anything else.
Preface. This is the practical companion to the field paper's TRUST section — written for the moment after the consent click. Markdown source: docs/firstLUV.md. Every price figure is a dated snapshot from market.json; the live number is on LIVE VIEW.

I. What just happened

  1. A wallet was created for you — an ERC-4337 smart account, yours alone. Its public address is on your dashboard under your wallet. Share that address freely: it is how people send you LUV. Nothing else is needed to receive.
  2. Your first LUV was reserved — recorded with your name on it, claimable whenever you like, gas on us. No rush; it never expires. And then the LUVdrip keeps flowing: a million LUV a day, for logging in.
  3. A private key exists that controls that wallet. On the dashboard it hides behind 🔒 press & hold to reveal. It shows only while you hold the button and is never kept in your browser; until custody migrates fully to you, the owner key is held encrypted at rest in SHAMBA LUV's own infrastructure (FAQ — your wallet). Write it down to take full custody.

That key is the whole of your LUV. Whoever holds it, holds the LUV. This page is about holding it well — and about why that is the most exciting thing you can do with it.

II. 1 LUV is always == 1 LUV

1 LUV === 1 LUV

Here is the thing most tokens can't say. One LUV is exactly one LUV — always. Send a friend 1 LUV and 1 LUV arrives: no fee, no minimum, no rounding, no "dust". LUV carries eighteen decimals of full precision and the contract never approximates — a gesture of 0.000000000000000001 LUV is a real gesture, delivered whole. Wallet-to-wallet, LUV is identical to itself, every time.

The price of LUV moves — it is created by the LUV / ETH pair, expressed on Uniswap, measured by the oracle, and today it is 10.8× where it was born. But the price is a description of LUV; it is not LUV. Your million LUV is a million LUV on the day the chart is red and a million LUV on the day it is green. That is what makes it a unit you can gesture with: the meaning of the gesture never changes size.

the denominations — say them out loud

1 LUV — exactly one, always  ·  1,000,000 LUVthe standard gesture ("thanks a million")  ·  1,000,000,000,000 LUVa million millions, the measure of value (your first LUV)  ·  the whole supply — 111 quadrillion, a repunit of ones, fixed at genesis, born at ten wei.

The only place a fee exists is the market: buy or sell through the pair and 5% is split 3 : 1 : 13% reflected to every holder (that's you, from your first LUV onward), 1% deepening the pool under everyone, 1% to the team by 2-of-3 consensus. Hold LUV, and the market pays you in LUV. Hold LUV to watch LUV grow.

III. Share the LUV — sharing IS the LUV

LUV is the first asset whose whole point is to be given. Every transfer is a gesture; every gesture is a bridge between two people; every bridge is a span in a network whose value grows with the square of the people in it (Metcalfe's law — the field paper does the math). You do not market LUV. You share it, and the sharing is the marketing. Send a million to someone who made your day. Send a trillion to someone who changed your life. Say thanks a million and mean it in LUV.

And because 1 LUV === 1 LUV, sharing never costs you a fee and never costs the receiver a fee. The gesture arrives exactly as sent. The only thing that grows is the network — and your reflections with it.

IV. Rule one — keep your private key private

Never share it. Anyone with your private key controls your wallet and every LUV in it — today's LUV and every LUV that ever arrives. There is no reset, no support ticket, no "forgot my key". The chain does not know who you are; it only knows who can sign.

Lose the key and the LUV is gone the way the 4.98 quadrillion at 0x…dEaD is gone — provably, forever, to nobody. Please don't send yours there by accident.

V. Rule two (the better one) — put your key in a trust, for release at a later time

Keeping a key private protects LUV from other people. Putting the key beyond your own reach for a stated term protects LUV from the one person a private key cannot guard against — you, on a bad day.

A trust is any arrangement in which the key is held so that it cannot be used until a date you chose in advance. As formal or as simple as you like:

formhow it works
a sealed envelopeKey on paper, sealed, dated, given to someone you trust with written instructions: do not open before ___. The oldest trust there is.
safe-deposit / lawyer's escrowThe same envelope, held by an institution or an attorney under a release instruction. Formal, dated, witnessed.
a legal trust or willThe key (or its location) in an estate instrument with a release condition — a date, an age, an event. How LUV outlives you and reaches the people you meant it for.
split custodyThe key split into shares (Shamir's secret sharing) held by several trustees with the same release date. No single person — including you — can reconstruct it early.
the LUVlocker (on-chain)The extend-only vault: lock the principal for a term, keep earning reflections the whole time. Use it when the FAQ links a live lock — earmarked is not locked, and a lock is a transaction anyone can verify.
locker as a service (coming)The trust above, done for you on-chain from your dashboard — choose the term, lock the principal, keep the reflections — once proof of redemption and collect are finalized. Redeem and collect are the rails the lock will ride; they ship first. Until the FAQ links it live, it is a promise, not a product.

Choose the date honestly. A year is a real commitment. Five years is a statement. The point is not the instrument — it is that the release date is chosen now, calmly, and cannot be moved by the person you will be on the day the price does something.

VI. What a locked key does — three things

1 · it protects LUV

A key that cannot be used cannot be phished, drained, panic-sold, or talked out of you. Every attack on a wallet is an attack on access; a trust removes access for the term. Your LUV sits at your address on the verified contract — visible to anyone, touchable by no one.

2 · it shows your commitment to LUV

Holding is visible. Your balance is a public line in the holders table; a balance that does not move through every dip is the on-chain shape of trust. A key in trust is the trust game's first move — LUV extended forward in time before the return is known — and it says, in a way no tweet can: I am here for the term, not the tick. Community actions are the measure of community sentiment; the most legible action of all is the one you don't take.

3 · it creates permanent value

Every LUV not sold is depth for everyone — LUV that cannot move cannot be dumped, and each exit is cushioned for those who remain. The 3% pays you to hold — a locked balance earns reflections the whole term with no action required. Metcalfe compounds it — you stay a node while n grows, and the bridges you formed keep counting. A term ends; the value doesn't — at release you hold LUV in a network larger, deeper and older than the one you entered, having proven on the ledger that you were there from the start.

1 trillion LUV — a million millions — your first LUV≈ $0.27
1,000,000 LUV — the standard gesture≈ $0.00000027
1 LUV≈ 108 wei · 2.69 × 10⁻¹³ USD
price vs the 10-wei seed≈ 10.8×

A trillion LUV costs a quarter. The gesture unit costs nothing anyone would notice. That is what the beginning looks like — and the beginning is where the risk is highest and the reward is largest. Trust is cheapest to extend exactly when it is worth the most to have extended it. Read the price both ways, the LUVchart, and how many times it has X'd — then pick your date.

VII. The checklist

VIII. Plain words

This is not financial advice and it is not legal advice; a trust arrangement is a legal matter in your jurisdiction and you should ask someone qualified. LUV is a young token in a thin pool, and the risk at the beginning is real — it is the same beginning in which the reward is largest. Nobody at SHAMBA LUV can recover a lost key, and nobody at SHAMBA LUV will ever ask for one.
